Gainesville Rapid Water Damage exists to answer the phone at three in the morning when a supply line lets go, and to dry the building properly rather than quickly. We work across Gainesville and Alachua County, on residential and light commercial losses, from the first extraction through the final moisture reading and the rebuild.
We dispatch licensed and insured crews. Water damage restoration is not a licensed trade in Florida the way electrical or plumbing work is, so that phrase gets used loosely in this industry. When we say it, we mean the crews we send carry their own trade licensing where the work requires it and carry liability and workers compensation coverage.
How we approach a water loss
Three commitments shape every job, and each one is a decision about what we will not do.
We find the whole wet footprint, not the visible edge
Moisture meters and thermal imaging find water that has traveled under flooring and behind baseboard. Drying only what you can see is the most common reason a repaired wall fails six weeks later.
We dry to a reading, not to a schedule
Equipment comes out when the material reads dry, which we log daily. That sometimes means an extra day, and it always means the dry-out is provable if a question comes up later.
We document for the claim from the first visit
Photographs, moisture readings and a written scope in the format adjusters expect. This costs us time on day one and saves you an argument on day thirty.
What we will not claim
This industry has a credibility problem, and most of it is self-inflicted. Some things you will not find on this site, deliberately.
No reviews we did not earn
There are no testimonials on this site and no review star ratings in our page code, because we will not publish a review from a customer we have not served. Inventing one is illegal under the FTC rule on fake reviews and it is also just dishonest.
No invented credentials
No license number we do not hold, no certification badge we have not earned, no award graphic. If you see a number on a restoration website, ask the company to show you the license behind it.
No guaranteed arrival time
Same-day response is our standard and we hold it under normal conditions. We will not print a fixed minute count that no company can honour during a countywide storm event.
No flat price over the phone
A water loss cannot be priced without seeing the wet footprint. A phone quote is a guess, and it is usually a low one designed to win the call.

Are you licensed and insured?
We dispatch licensed and insured crews. Water damage restoration itself is not a state-licensed trade in Florida, so crews carry the trade licensing their specific work requires, plus liability and workers compensation coverage. Ask us to show the certificates and we will.
Why are there no reviews on this site?
Because we will not publish one we did not earn. Review sections on restoration sites are frequently fabricated, and the FTC now fines companies for it. When we have real customers leaving real reviews, they will appear on independent platforms where you can verify them.
Do you work with insurance companies?
We document the loss the way adjusters need it: photographs, daily moisture logs and a written scope. We work with your adjuster on the scope of the loss. We do not work for your insurer, and our obligation is to dry your building properly.
